In recognition of National Women?s Health Week (May 14-20, 2017), encourage the women in your life to pay special attention to their health, not just this week, but with regularity.

? Get at least 30 minutes of physical activity most days, or discuss an appropriate physical activity program for your age and health status
? Get at least 7 hours of sleep each night
? Don?t use tobacco products
? If you drink alcoholic beverages, drink responsibly
? Always wear your seatbelt and never text while driving
? Have an annual well-woman visit and discuss other possible necessary exams such as mammograms and health screenings
? Discuss your vaccination needs with your healthcare provider
? Know your family history of illness and disease and discuss these with your healthcare provider
? Know your numbers ? such as your blood pressure and cholesterol levels ? as these can indicate possible disease risk
